Mission Statement Welcome Funding Services Roster Events and Photo Gallery
The TBRJ Honor Guard is a team of extremely dedicated individuals who are committed to our agencies demonstration of the pride and traditions set forth by the many Honor Guards and Color Guards across our country in support of the duties entrusted to us by the American citizens.
It is the mission of the TBRJ Honor Guard to represent our officers and staff members, as well as retirees, law enforcement and corrections officers of other departments, their immediate families, members of state, county, or local government, etc. by serving with honor as a highly disciplined team at various ceremonial functions. Also, to display the last full measure of devotion, with respect and dignity, at funeral services for active or retired law enforcement personnel, and, to provide comfort and compassion for survivors through demonstration of military style etiquette with great attention to detail.
Welcome from the TBRJ Honor Guard Commander
"Welcome
to our web page! This has been a long time coming! The formation of the
Two Bridges Regional Jail Honor Guard was approved in July of 2009, with
selection of the initial seven volunteer team members beginning in early
August, after 4 years of intense planning and organization. Since that
time, the team has had a presence at many parades and events in the
surrounding area. In the future, I plan on making our “Full Honors”
memorial/funeral services available to ALL law enforcement agencies
located in Lincoln & Sagadahoc Counties in the unfortunate occasion such
services are required. Many of these agencies are too small to effectively
carry out such services utilizing their own resources. Our facility’s much
larger staffing level makes us a much more effective avenue to supply these
services. For the time being, I can offer my aide, and that of my fellow
team members, to such agencies in staffing their own funeral services upon
request."
Honor Guard Commander Bruce T. Stockford
The TBRJ Honor Guard consists of all volunteer members, and as such, we rely on donations in exchange for services and internal fundraising for the purchase of required equipment, uniforms, and the defraying of travel and other expenses. A donation is not required to attain TBRJ Honor Guard or Color Guard representation. When such services are provided, a donation of any amount may be sent directly to the TBRJ Honor Guard Commander Bruce T. Stockford, TBRJ, 522 Bath Road, Wiscasset, ME 04578.
